was on the phone with my Dad the other day. Sometime during the conversation he stopped in mid sentence and said, "What in going on?" I asked what was up and he explained that there was someone driving slow on the side of the road with their flashers on but he could not see anything. In just a few seconds he chuckled and explained to me that there was a little girl riding her bike on the side of the road and he assumed that the man in the vehicle was her dad, following her closely home. I had to laugh and the picture that came to mind was that is just the way God is with us. He is our heavenly 'Daddy' (Romans 8). Just as this Daddy was watching out for his child, so God watches out for us. We know that if we are keeping our relationship with God on a daily basis, He is going to show us in so many ways how He is there with us and for us. Sometimes we do not understand what is happening in our lives, but if we wait, we often can see from hindsight how He was leading us and changing us every day to be more and more like Him. May you feel the presence of God with you today in a special way and find comfort in Him.
